How do I apply?

Search our open job postings to find the perfect work-at-home job opening based on your location, skill set, and interest. To start your journey, click the APPLY button on the job opportunity of your choice. You will be directed to the online application.


Do I have to complete the online application from my home office?

You do not need to be at your home office to begin the application, however, some assessments will require that you complete them from your home office. For instance, the internet speed test and computer diagnostic test (if the position requires that you provide a computer). Additionally, some assessments must be completed using a computer and keyboard, such as a typing test (if the position requires this assessment). You will receive an email with a link to your ongoing application when you begin, so if you need to stop, you can resume the application where you leave off at a later time.


There was a position I planned to apply for, but I can’t see it now. Can I still apply?

We hire throughout the year based on client and business needs. Please check back for future employment opportunities or follow us on social media for job posting announcements.




What documents should I send with my application?

You can upload your resume on the first page of the application. This is optional but encouraged.


Can I send in my application by email?

To be considered for employment you will need to complete the online application. If you are having any difficulties, you can email for assistance.


Is it OK to apply to several different positions?

Please find the position that is the best fit for you based on your location, skill set, experience, and interest. Please only apply to one job opening.


Do I have to complete the entire application at once?

No, once you begin the application you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to your ongoing application. If you are unable to complete the entire application in one sitting, you can resume where you leave off by utilizing the link provided in this initial email.


I just finished the online application, when do I hear from you?

Once your online application has been completed, you will receive an email to confirm your application has been received. Additionally, once your application has been processed you will typically receive a second email within 3-5 business days.


I’m interested in a job abroad, do you help with relocation?

For some positions, depending on the role, we are able to offer relocation packages. If this is the case, it will be mentioned in the description. Feel free to mention this when you’re contacted by our recruitment specialist.


What can I expect from the recruitment process?

Our talent acquisition team will review your completed online application and if you are invited to move forward in the hiring process, you will receive an email with a link to schedule a phone interview with a recruitment specialist. Upon completing your phone interview, you will typically receive an email within 3-5 business days with the next steps. If you are selected for the position, you will be invited to schedule an offer appointment to learn more about Transcom, our people, culture, and values. We strive to provide a clear insight into what we offer, what to expect in the role, how the virtual atmosphere feels and provide you the opportunity to ask questions.


How should I prepare for the phone interview?

We love it when people have researched our business and demonstrate a strong understanding of what we do. At the same time, we want to hear about you! So it would be good if you have practiced describing your skills, experience and passion in an interesting and concise way.

Is training required?

Yes, all employees are required to attend 100% of virtual paid training. Training will be completed in an online classroom environment. Our training is not self-paced and new hires are expected to attend training each day. Please expect to actively participate in activities and appear on webcam throughout training. The length of training may vary by employment opportunity and is designed to ensure you are prepared to succeed in your new role.


Is training paid?

Yes. You will be paid for all training hours completed.


Can I train on my own?

No. You will be required to attend training during specific dates / times, and must be able to attend 100% of training. Training is completed in a virtual classroom setting with a trainer who will support you. Our recruitment specialist will discuss the specific dates, times, and length of training with you during the phone interview.


How old do I have to be to work for Transcom?

You need to be 18 years or older and be eligible to work in the country offering the position without sponsorship.


What states or provinces do you hire for Transcom Work-At-Home employment?

We typically hire employees from the following locations. Please note that the locations in which we are hiring can vary by position and are subject to change.




Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan


What are the home office requirements?

You must be able to provide a home office that is quiet, secure, and distraction-free. This includes common distractions such as interruptions from family members, cell phones, television, music, doorbells, and pets. In addition, your home office must include access to a wired internet connection that meets the minimum internet speeds for the employment opportunity. Additional equipment may be required, depending on the employment opportunity.


What internet service providers (ISP) are acceptable?

You can use any ISP that provides a cable broadband or DSL connection that meets the minimum internet speed requirements for the employment opportunity. Satellite internet is not permitted.


What are the minimum internet speeds requirements?

The specific internet speed requirements may vary by employment opportunity, and will be outlined in the online application. Most opportunities require:

  • Download speed: 20+ mbps
  • Upload speed: 2+ mbps
  • ISP must be highly stable with no packet loss and Ping latency less than 100 ms
  • Connection must be wired from modem/router directly to PC  
  • Must be a DSL or cable broadband connection
  • (WiFI, WiFi Max, Satellite, dial-up, mobile hotspots are NOT allowed)


Do I have to provide a computer?

Some positions will require that you are able to provide a desktop or laptop windows computer that meets specific requirements. If required for the position, you will complete a computer diagnostic assessment during the application process.


If a computer is required, what are the minimum requirements?

A windows desktop or laptop computer that meets below minimum requirements:

  • Minimum CPU Clock Speed – 1.5 GHz (1500mhz)Compatible processor (2 cores of higher)
    • Incompatible Intel processors (Celeron & Pentium D)
    • Incompatible AMD processors (Athlon X2 & Sempron)
    • Mobile Processors (denoted as M) are incompatible
  • Minimum Memory – 4GB RAM
  • Storage – Hard drive must have at least 10GB of free space
  • Ports – Minimum 1 USB 2.0 port
  • Webcam (used for Transcom training and meetings)


Is any other equipment required?

You will need to be able to provide a compatible USB headset. Typically, any headset advertised as “Skype compatible” will be acceptable.


Do I have to provide a home phone service?

Depending on the employment opportunity, an analog or digital landline home phone service may be required. Details for each position are provided in the job descriptions.


If the position requires a home-phone, can I use a VOIP connection?

If the position requires you to provide a home-phone, you can use a traditional analog connection (P.O.T.S. - Plain Old Telephone Service) or a cable-based digital connection (Cox, Comcast, Verizon, Suddenlink, Spectrum). However, a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) service like Magicjack, Vonage, Skype, Google Voice are NOT be permitted.  


Will I need a long distance calling plan?

No, a long distance calling plan is NOT required. If a home-phone is required for the position, you will need a basic landline calling plan, (local calls only), with no features, and an unlisted / unpublished phone number.

Employment FAQ

Can I work from my local coffee shop or library?

No. You must work from your designated home office that utilizes your Internet Protocol (IP) address. We require a secure WIRED internet connection as you assist callers with sensitive customer and client information. Additionally, we uphold a high level of professionalism and you must be able to provide a quiet and distraction free environment during work hours.


Is there a fee required to work from home with Transcom?

No. There is not a start-up fee to begin employment, however, some positions will require that you are able to provide specific equipment and high-speed internet. Depending on the position, equipment may include a windows desktop or laptop computer, USB headset, webcam, or home-phone service.


Is there a fee associated with criminal background check?

No, any cost to complete the criminal background check is paid for by Transcom.


Will I be employed as a Transcom employee or independent contractor?

You will be hired as a Transcom employee.


What kind of work does a Transcom customer service or technical support representative do?

As a customer service or technical support representative you will take inbound phone calls for a specific client. You will assist the client’s customers, troubleshoot issues,  provide a resolution, and provide an outstanding customer service experience.


Can I choose the client program that I will support?

All of our advertised positions are tailored to a specific client program and available employment opportunity. Each application is tailored to specific requirements and information provided is unique to the available opportunity. Therefore, please review the job description(s) carefully and apply to the role that best matches your interests, skills, and abilities.


What type of schedule will I work?

Schedules vary depending on our client’s needs. The online application will outline the hours of operation for the position available and our recruiters will provide more information on the training and production schedule during the interview. Schedules are subject to change based on client needs, and you should be able to work a flexible schedule that may change based on business needs.

Employment FAQ - PAY

Is this position hourly or salary?

All of our customer service and technical support positions are hourly. The specific hourly wage depends on your location and the specific employment opportunity.


Do I get paid by the call or by the hour?

All hourly employees are paid by the hour, regardless of the number of calls they take.


How will I be paid?

Transcom pays employees bi-weekly. Employees have the opportunity to establish direct deposit and US based employees have the option to request a pay card (debit card) to access their funds. Please keep in mind, Transcom will NEVER ask for banking information during the selection process. New hires will have the ability to establish direct deposit directly after their employment begins.
