Onboarding Specialist - REMOTE

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the new hire lifecycle from offer to employment start. The primary objective is to move top talent through the onboarding process as quickly, efficiently, and as accurately as possible to limit the amount of time between offer and the first day of employment. This role requires a highly motivated person with exceptional communication and organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities:

The position requires effective leadership and business execution for the following key focus areas. Additional responsibilities may be added as the needs of the business change and expand: 

  • Manage requisitions and candidates through the full onboarding process from offer through the first day of employment, and partner with the Recruiting team to ensure metrics and KPIs are met
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the entire recruitment process
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of candidate communications, contracts/offer letters, disclosures, internal rosters, and reports
  • Monitor candidate pipelines within onboarding and research blocks or problems and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure that all candidates pass the minimum requirements for the role regarding completion of paperwork and any pre-employment checks 
  • Document and maintain processes for new hire onboarding
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for new onboarding team members and/or temporary resources
  • Ensure all onboarding team members and temporary support resources are trained for their role
  • Facilitate weekly reviews to ensure all candidates have completed all requirements for the role and documentation is updated and accurate
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to managers on candidate onboarding pipeline, initiatives, and metrics
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Continuously review and evaluate the processes for needed improvements
  • Adhere to assigned performance metrics
  • Other duties, as assigned

 

To qualify for this role you must:

  • Hold a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of onboarding experience, with strong focus on high-volume hiring/onboarding
  • Be fluent in the English language
  • Have a quiet and distraction-free home office in which to work 100% remote
  • Solid experience with G-Suite and Microsoft applications

 

It will help if you have:

  • Experience in the Call Center BPO industry
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (specifically Avature) and social media applications

  • Ability to make decisions, take action, and execute a plan
